Here are the six tubular segments. I’ve simplified it a bit here (I left out the bit about how the proximal straight tubule is also called the thick descending limb of the loop of Henle, and the distal straight tubule is also called the thick ascending limb of the loop of Henle).

Okay great. Now, can you describe what each tubular segment does? Also, which tubular segment is affected by aldosterone, and which is affected by ADH?
